JENNY
Jenny is a mom, tropical ecologist and photographer. As a child, all she ever wanted was 70,000 miles, the price for an Around the World ticket on United Airlines. Despite her career taking her to some of Earth's most remote corners, her childhood wish remained elusive until fate intervened and cleared her for takeoff this past year. The journey proved worth the wait, showing that sometimes the best trips are those shared with loved ones—even if they come with a side of geography lessons and surprise wildlife encounters along the way.

ANDREW
Andrew transitioned from a twenty year career in technology to being a full time explorer with his family. After borrowing Lonely Planet: Namibia from the library, he insisted on renting a 4x4 truck to traverse the southern countries of Africa. His ability to drive manual transmission and simultaneously hold sleeping children and luggage were his greatest contributions to the adventure. Upon return, Andrew is back at work and saving up to attempt another world tour.

MARIETTA
Marietta is always up for an adventure. Whether it’s eating a half-fertilized egg or getting bucked off a horse (twice!), she takes after her mother with an insatiable curiosity to explore. She believes that testing your limits with adventurous activities as well as immersing yourself in different cultures provides the best perspective and lifelong memories.

MALCOLM
Malcolm is our middle child. Don’t let his elementary school status fool you. He knows more animal facts than Wikipedia and kept our family on time everywhere we went. He loved exploring Africa more than visiting the world’s largest arcade in Osaka, Japan...but it was close.

QUINCY
Little kids aren't usually the easiest traveling companions...unless it’s Quincy, and then they make the best! With little expectations and a limited understanding of geography, she experienced this world with open curiosity and pure wonder. She befriended everyone, from strangers on the bus to cockfighters, from market vendors to baby elephants. Her quick wit and joy kept us laughing and connected the entire journey.
